Pardubice Castle is a Renaissance castle, which is located near the center of Pardubice. A mansion was established here, during the times of the lords of Pernštejn, which is the transition between a castle and a chateau. There is no such object, preserved in such a state and area in Central Europe. At present, the chateau is owned by the Pardubice region and home to the East Bohemian Museum, East Bohemian Gallery and a branch of the National Heritage Institute. The castle with fortifications has been on the list of the national cultural monuments of the Czech Republic since 2010.
