The Black Tower

The monument is a part of the Municipal Historical Conservation of Ceske Budejovice. A symbol of the city of Ceske Budejovice is the Gothic-Renaissance Black Tower, which dominates the seventy towers and turrets there. The Black Tower is, in the Czech Republic, a unique example of an urban renaissance bell tower, with the height of 72.29 meters and nine uneven floors. The bells Bumerin (weight 3.429 kg), Oktava and Marie were placed on the bell floor and in 1995 Budvar (weight 1.100 kg) was added.
