The castle Žďár nad Sázavou

Originally a Cistercian monastery founded after 1252. Nowadays it is cared for by the Kinsky family again.
On the premises of the castle there is a Museum of the book, The history of the Kinsky family, Permanent exhibition of Baroque art from the collections of the National Gallery in Prague, the Basilica Minor, Information and tourist center, elementary school, coffee and tea room and the local fire brigade.
