Glacial erratic

Just a few steps from a fountain, towards the hotel Zvon, there is a so called glacial erratic, left as the only remnant of the previous "cobblestone" pavement. It is one of the peculiarities of Ceske Budejovice, to which a well known legend is bound; allegedly, right here is where an execution place was located, where the lives of ten young men were ended, by the hand of the executioner, in 1470, for opposing the reeve. Apparently, who unknowingly crosses the Glacial Erratic after ten o'clock at night, does not find their way home.
