Starting points: The Municipal Museum Mariánské Lázně and the cable car station at Koliba
Length: 1,6 km
Time: 45 - 60 min
Route description: the starting point: the cable car station at Koliba - the intersection of Karlovarská and Dusíkova streets - along the path at the edge of the park along the yellow markings - across the main street - along the forest path upwards above the city - less than two kilometers long circuit in urban forests above the city - the end of the route at Goethe Square near the Municipal Museum
The rather steep climb up the hill will be rewarded with magnificent views of Mariánské Lázně. A restored arbor of Mecséry's lookout point offers a panorama view of the valley, the Millennium monument is a stone remembrance of the turn of the millennium. You can admire the beauty of Mariánské Lázně from the rest area of Clementso, the abbot of Teplá, from above the hotel Esplanade.
In the second half the romantic route follows a more demanding terrain of Little Switzerland. The romantic clusters of large boulders and Fridrichštejn rocks used to be a favorite place of the Saxon King Friedrich August II., who was excited by the local flora.
