A sightseeing cruise on the river Elbe from Dresden on a wheeled steamboat

In Dresden, below the Brühl's Terrace, there is a wheeled cruise steamboat dock.  The company of Steamboat cruises on the River Elbe was founded in Dresden in 1836. The company now has 9 steamers and all of them are protected as technical monuments. The steamboats run in the area of Saxon Switzerland and the Saxon Elbe Valley. You can go just beyond Dresden on the steamboat or all the way to Bad Schandau. During the cruise from Dresden you can admire castles, expansive gardens, vineyards and towns on the shores.
