A small video-walk around the historic center of Meissen

Meissen is an ancient Saxon town situated on the river Labe. It is famous for its many well-preserved historical monuments but mainly for its tradition of producing the Meissen porcelain. Porcelain with two crossed swords has been produced here since 1720 and is known worldwide. The porcelain is still produced here in Meissen - at the State Porcelain Manufactory. The history, many rare pieces and a demonstration of the production can be seen at the local museum.
