Around the Pisek region, country of lakes, to the one-eyed warrior

Cycle route starts in Pisek on the oldest stone bridge in the country and continues along the Otava river to Zátavsky bridge. It follows the Devil's nature trail from Pisek and it's a very pleasant ride on a reinforced surface along the river. After crossing the Zátavsky bridge we head towards Kestřany and Štěkeň and then towards Sudoměř. In Sudoměř we can stop at the monumental statue of Jan Žižka. After meeting with the one-eyed warrior we can go to the lake and nature reserve Řežabinec. Thanks to the information boards of the nature trail near the lake we can learn about the colourful world of flora and fauna. The next stop on the route is Putim, which is well known due the character of Good Soldier Švejk, who wandered across Putim. Path along the Otava river will lead us back to Pisek.

Cycle route is not demanding, leads mostly via paved paths and is suitable for all types of bicycles.
